Calvert Fitness Member Spotlight – Jason

This is Jason’s story.

He was basically at a breaking point when he came to me. A few months in, things have vastly improved, though it’s a process he’s taking day by day.

Tell us about you in 5 sentences or less. Where you from? Are you a parent? Hobbies?

I was born and raised in Vancouver. Lived there for 47 years. Married the love of my life and the mother of my 2 children in 2000. Together we raised our family and in2013 we followed our dreams and moved to Nova Scotia. Bought a hobby farm and began raising horses, chickens, pigs and goats.

What led you to team up with Mitch and Calvert Fitness?

I joined up with Mitch because I was tired of the dad body. I have struggled with type 2 diabetes for the last 3 years and needed to get control of my life

What dieting experience did you try previous to Calvert Fitness? Was there a reason you stopped?

I tried weight watchers and a few fad diets. Nothing worked.

It’s clear Calvert Fitness worked for you. Why do you think it worked when other diets may not have?

It’s not just a diet. It’s lifestyle changes that are realistic. It’s not built around special foods or feel good meetings. It’s about eating sensibly and being accountable to yourself.

What were your eating habits like BEFORE joining Calvert Fitness?

I work shift work so my eating habits were built around my work schedule

Now that you’ve joined Calvert Fitness, how have your eating habits changed?

They have not changed that much. But instead of eating pizza and burgers, I now take some time and prepare my meals ahead.

How much weight did you lose working with Mitch?

So far 15 pounds

How did your waist measurements change working with Mitch?

Waist measurements are getting smaller

What were 3 non-scale victories you experienced working with Mitch (compliments, pants fitting etc.)

I can walk into Tim’s and order just a coffee. No donut. That is a huge victory. The other day I had to put a new hole in my belt. This time making it smaller. My daughter is proud of my achievements so far.

If someone is thinking of joining up with Mitch, what would you tell them?

It’s worth it.

PS – When you’re ready, here’s how Mitch can help you:

2) Apply for Fit Mom Makeover
